BCBP Cebu Central Social Media Policy
This policy outlines the guidelines for the appropriate use of social media by members and representatives of the Brotherhood Christian Business Professionals (BCBP) Cebu Central. It aims to uphold the organization's values, protect its reputation, and maintain a positive online presence.
General Principles:
Uphold BCBP Values: All online interactions should reflect the core values of BCBP, including professionalism, integrity, service, excellence, and Christian witness.
Respect and Civility: Be respectful and courteous in all online interactions, even when disagreeing with others. Avoid personal attacks, offensive language, or discriminatory comments.
Accuracy and Transparency: Share accurate and truthful information to the best of your knowledge. Do not misrepresent yourself or BCBP.
Confidentiality: Respect the privacy of others and refrain from sharing confidential information online.
Copyright and Attribution: Be mindful of copyright laws and give proper credit when sharing content that is not yours.
Responsible Sharing: Think before you post. Consider the potential consequences of your online activity and how it might reflect on BCBP.
Specific guidelines:
KAIGSUONAN Group Chat Policy (applicable for two GC’s)
The BCBP Facebook group chat is established to facilitate real-time communication, collaboration, and support among its members. The primary purpose is to enhance the organization's sense of community and connection.
Always keep to the purpose of this chat group! Don’t share non-related messages about other topics.
Do not spam the chat group! Do not share memes, adverts deals, and the like.
Post your message in one chunk of text, don’t post every word or sentence in a new message.
If you’re lurking in a group chat and ‘seeing’ every message, occasionally respond with something to remove the stalker vibe that inevitably develops.
Do not have one-on-one conversations in the group. Switch to private messages.
Please don’t send in a hundred “thank you” messages. If you feel gratitude towards someone – tell them in a private message.
This chat group is not a political platform. No fear-mongering, no hyped-up drama, no fake news. Check your sources before you share.
Always ask someone if you may add them before you add them.
Don’t send data-insensitive messages. No one wants their last 3GB used up on uninvited memes.
Do politely excuse yourself before you leave the group.
Please use only one account. If you have multiple accounts, kindly choose which one you want to join the group chat.
The “thumbs up” icon should be done on the message itself and not sent as a separate message. To react to a message, press and hold it and choose your desired icon.
